June is here again... and I hope we can get really freaky together before she leaves and I have to start hanging out with July.
May saw me finishing up another semester, and begin the formulation of several projects that have been hanging around the cerebral water-cooler, chatting each other up and wondering what the "real-world" may be like.
I've managed to get a few spots of research done for a couple of items, and I've managed to dial in on a couple of older pieces (one over the weekend, an another that I'm getting ready to handle) for another editing pass to try and submit for publication. This is getting into the sticky part... I was checking through possible markets for one of the stories, and was dissapointed to find that several of the smaller presses that I would have been considering for submission have closed since my reference was printed. Of those that are still standing (about half of my original list of 15 or so markets), most of them do no take simultaneous submissions. Time to prioritize my market choices...
Now that this is the 1st (not that I was specifically waiting for today, or anything), I'm setting the clean slate for projects and schedules: my goal for the month - at least 30k words, between no more than three "larger" projects. (more projects are okay, but seperate from the main "larger" goal. Three of the projects should get a fresh coat of 10k words or more - each).
