Way back in the day, HBO used to have a show called "Brain Games" that would periodically watch, and at the end the voice-over would lament... "Brain Games... is now.... over..." The voice would be inflected like the announcer was getting ready to completely break into tears at any moment.
It was one of those random things that has stuck with me, some twenty-odd years later, and it popped into my head this morning as I was thinking about this post. "Spring Break.... is now.... over...." (fit into the Brain Games cadence and inflection) popped through my mind... I was thinking about what I had hoped to accomplish, vs. the reality of what happened.
The good news: I did accomplish several items on my list, including the most time consuming project - finishing and burning the Wedding/Honeymoon movie so it can be tested and previewed before we have people over next weekend. (It was the first DVD/movie project that I've burned since getting the Macbook... almost two years ago...)... after leaving the computer alone for almost all of Saturday, between converting and burning the project.... whew, a lot of time there (of course, I did other things while the computer did its thing...)
Which goes to the next items: I had printed all of the readings for the rest of the semester for the "Teaching" class earlier in the week, and I did manage to get almost 2.5 weeks worth or readings done... Although I did not make as much headway as I had hoped for with the "Research" projects, I feel okay about how everyhting should come together before things are due. Hopefully I can make a dent in at least one of the projects tonight, and be more prepared for the conference I am supposed to be having with my "Research" instructor tomorrow afternoon.
Speaking of which, I had better get back to it, to make sure I have some dents made...
