Late one night, while sleeping on the couch at my sister-in-law’s (when she was still living in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia… circa Summer 2006-ish, I think), I was flipping through channels while the rest of the house slept. I landed on MTV2, or some other channel actually playing music videos late at night, and this band with a funny name was guest hosting. The band: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. The video at the time was their first mainstream single, which touches on domestic violence. I enjoyed the way the video was put together, and the edge – combination of how they handle the subject matter while still maintaining an up-tempo rock song. I have since gone on to add most of their other work to the library.
