Responsibility...

Well... I've been trying to be responsible the last week, and it's starting to pay off a little. I have maintained a daily writing habit, recapping my days (generally)... a start towards developing the habit that will need to be sprung into action once the semester ends. For now, though, I'm having to channel a lot of creative efforts towards the remaining projects that I have due for my Research class... which I have finally gotten an outline together for the big one. Well, at least the start of it... I'm also trying to be proactive, and finish the readings for the Teaching class, so I can actually draft a note for that class well before next week.

Which is a side note: if an instructor states, at the beginning of the semester, that class posts should be filed by 12pm the day before class is supposed to meet (so others can have time to reply), why do so many people decide that they will wait until the day of class... in a graduate level class, at that?

And speaking of graduate classes... Congratulations to Nancy for passing her comps, and officially being done with her MA. She is someone I've known for years (egads... it's been a decade!) going back to my ROTC days, and she was in town this past weekend preparing for her thesis defense. We hung out on Sunday and caught up, and I think MC and I managed to give her enough of a chance to decompress a little between her review session before her defense session on Monday.

Right, back to the books, and a few more hours of work, before class tonight.
